SPARK CITY WORLD - PINKLILAC'S TRUTH

If you were an avid Spark City player in 2014-2015 you might be familiar by the name...Pinklilac.
And if you aren't i'd be happy to tell you all about it!...

The beggining -
How exactly did Pinklilac start? It remained a mystery for months back in the day.. why harass and manipulate users, where does one get the idea to do so? After speaking with the mastermind herself- Jamie, we know exactly why.

The account of Pinklilac did not originally belong to Jamie, ironically enough it was hacked as she told many people. But not in the way she made it seem. The account was more so taken with the promise of a free membership. When Jamie accouried the account and began using it people accused her of "hacking" it, they were convinced she had some magical software which could hack into anyone at anytime. Jamie- Who was now Pinlilac saw this gave her power, so she ran with it and claimed she was the mastermind who could hack.

The chasing -
In the video above you see the girls mention that Pinklilac chases people, yes that was a big part of her scheme, she terrorized people. Mysteriously being able to find them anywhere despite not being friends with them.
How did she do this you ask? It was no software or so called hacking, Jamie had friended each one of her targets on her main account, one that she to this day refused to tell us the name of. Pinklilac had 20 accounts. Pinklilac, Pinklilac2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The rest 14 accounts were 'decoys' used by people Pinklilac hired to chase people for her, that way no one was left in peace. Players obeyed Pinklilac and did not revolt to her face out of fear of being hacked, "it was pathetic really."- Jamie states in our 2017 interview.

Poor, Poor...POOR Justin
In the warning video above- two girls are seen giving a warning about Pinklilac. However, who is this Justin? And why is Pinlilac controlling him. Justin aka Flossy302 was a major part of Pinklilac's plan. Pink/Jamie knew Justin was popular and liked, and "people would do anything to protect or stand by him". She states. She targeted him, saying if he didn't obey her every last wish she would hack his then girlfriend Lulu. Justin did as she was told, being controlled by Pinklilac. This angered his friends causing them to report Pinklilac even more- giving her exactly what she wanted.

In this video Justin/Flossy can be seen being chased and manipulated by Pink.

The Plan
At this point you began to wonder, what was the plan..the motive? It was simple really

..Pinklilac aka Jamie hated people who acted popular and entitled on Spark City, she said at the time it made her "skin crawl". She wanted revenge, once she saw the power and influence she had over people she knew exactly how to get it.

Jamie explains it quite well here, "The plan was, get people to  hate me, but fear me as well. Justin was friends with everyone, who better than him to get on the worst side of? Once they hated me I'd bother the living f*ck out of them til they had no other choice but to report me 10x harder. And what would they report me for..BAD LANGUAGE!. Spark City World would have no choice but to make the safe settings on chat even worse. At the time it was f*cking genius"

She added, "I had 0 intention on the site closing, or stopping Fuel Industries' money flow. Cause I don't think I had anything to do with the bankruptcy and I shouldn't be blamed for that. I do realise what I did was soo f*cked up and i'm forreal sorry to anyone I hurt. I loved the site just as much as y'all and it hurt me to see it be taken away even if it was partially my fault."

"I wanted control, power, a sense of leverage, that will forever be my downfall" - Pinklilac, 2017

Final Thoughts
I believe Pinklilac's actions were deranged and screwed, but just how idiotic enough were people to believe her claims? Hacking, being able to track people, HACKING. Pinklilac wasn't able to hack herself a pair of real clothes seeing as she only roamed around in that tablecloth ghost costume. How did people believe even then that she could hack? Jamie confirmed she never publicly hacked anyone since Pinklilac, there were no incidences. You can blame Pinklilac but I blame the stupidity of scw players. Pinklilac was a troll who they gave a platform to, they let her have power over them. And thats all kids ! have a safe day xoxo

Spark City World... What Went Wrong?

About Spark City World / All Girl Arcade -
Spark City World- also known as All Girl Arcade was a virtual online game aimed towards preteens and teens. Gaining popularity in 2012, SCW was a website where girls, (and boys) could express them selves creatively and meet friends all across the globe. Spark City World was first seen being inactive in 2015 shortly after the safe chat update mentioned below. The website was abruptly closed in March of 2017.

Spark City World was a website adored by many. It allowed users to have fun with their friends, while making good and bad fashion choices and decorating their virtual apartments. Though the creators were not updating as frequent; or at all, the website being closed all of a sudden came as a shock. A year later the question still remains.. What Went Wrong?

Let's break it down, shall we?

Overprotective Safe Chat -
Spark City World has always had a more controlled chatting system compared to other online virtual games. However, in 2015 the website decided to make chatting even more strict, beyond what could be described as "controlling" making it nearly impossible for users to hold a normal conversation, without sounding like NPC robots at least. The second the update hit the website users left in dozens at once, causing a great loss to the SCW community.

But why did Spark City World take these measures, what happened? In 2014 a user by the name of Pinklilac came into play. Pink was manipulative, evil and pure dangerous, at least that's what she made it seem like to other players. Pinklilac made the false claim that she had hacking abilities- And if anyone were to dare wrong her, she would hack them or their friends. Players believed her, obeying her every command. In attempt to get rid of Pinklilac players reported her multiple times for bad language. Pinklilac had a total of 20 accounts which were taken down by these reports, equaling to about a 100 reports for foul language. Once the creators saw the amount of reports they were getting for one single issue they took matters into their own hands and created the safe chat.

Months after Pinklilac's actions All girl arcade blocked the words "Pink" and "Lilac" from being used in the same sentence. In this video these two girls give a brief explanation as to what Pinklilac was doing. As you can see, she had players afraid, controlled and chased for a year. More about Pinklilac and what really went down with her in an upcoming article

In April 2017 we had the opportunity to talk to PinkLilac herself- Jamie, the mastermind behind the account. She spoke proudly of her accomplishment, saying "It was everything I wanted". Jamie explained how she wanted users to suffer for their bullying and arrogance, however she had no means for the website to be shut down.

Bankruptcy -
A few months before Spark City World was shut down the creators of the game Fuel Industries filed for bankruptcy. Much wasn't said about this or why it happened, but it was because of poor business moves and lack of money flow/success. One of the reasons could be SCW's downfall.

The official documents on the bankruptcy here - Estate No. 33-2276663 IN THE MATTER OF THE BANKRUPTCY OF ...

The Failed Petition -
Last year, a user created a petition on change.org for Fuel Industries to bring Spark City World back. With only 100 signs as the goal, it should've been easy. However, the petition failed to reach it's goal, landing only 66 signatures. With such low demand for the websites revival it isn't a surprise the website was shut down, and from the looks of it wont be coming back any time soon.

Spark City World was apart of many of our childhoods. From the Rebecca Bon Bon days to freaking out when you saw a click star on the streets, they were memories well made. Even though the website no longer exists there are alternatives, MovieStarPlanetStardoll and Roblox are equally as fun and addicting.
